Just say NO!




Cuba mengurangkan berat badan tanpa mengawal diri ibarat cuba mengayuh basikal tanpa handle. You get what i mean? You will never be in control of your weight or your health until you learn to control yourself. Sebagai permulaan, kita kena ajar diri kita by saying NO!

If you really want to lose weight, learn to say NO! Self control bermula dari fikiran kita, macam kita buat mental choice... A or B. Then we put up some 'fences', contohnya ketepikan certain foods or behaviour yg boleh menolong kita. Frankly, self control tu sangat penting.  Its better to have self-control than to control an army, right? So its better to control yourself first, than to control your intake.

i did it!

It was all of a sudden! When Hani said that she's looking for a companion for a 10km roadrace, i didn't take long to volunteer myself. The timing is superb, so i grab the opportunity. 

This is my first participation of any roadrace, ratrace, marathon, walkathon, or anything related to a public race. Mulanya cuak jugak sebab tak pernah join race yg macam ni. Pada pengiraan aku, i can learn something from Hani sebab minah ni dah biasa dengan race sebegini. Aku sure aku akan jadi 10 peserta terakhir. 

Ada 2 kategori... men & women. Pompuan start 10 minutes lewat selepas org lelaki at 7:10am...SHARP!  Mulanya aku briskwalk dgn Hani but i think after 200 meter macam tu, aku dah start berlari... leaving Hani behind. The route agak adventurous jugak... flat road, if i'm not mistaken, is only 3km. Another 7km is a ascending and descending route. Mencabar, beb! Bila time mendaki tu, sampai terpaksa berjalan membongkokkan badan supaya tak rasa penat sangat. Apa yang aku tak boleh lupa ialah aku berlari dalam gerimis...tu yang paling best. Teringat zaman kecik2, aku main hujan. Hehe... 

Bila dah penat berlari, aku briskwalk. While briskwalking, i'm taking my own sweet time exploring the nature surrounding me. Sesekali aku mendongak tengok pokok2 besar. Dalam hati, "Jangan ada ular jatuh atas kepala, sudah! Nauzubillah...." Then bila agak-agak nafas tu dah recover, aku sambung berlari semula. Sesekali aku toleh belakang, tak nampak pulak kelibat si Hani ni. Kata hati, "Agaknya dia dah kat depan, aku yang tak perasan dia potong aku". 



Once aku arrived kat finishing line, aku terus tekan button Polar utk tahu timing & calories burn. 1304 cal burnt within 1hr 15minutes. Not bad untuk first timer macam aku nie. Lepas ambil medal, aku terus cari Hani. Melilau jugak mata nie cari minah tu... 


But to my surprise......


Aku sampai setengah jam lebih awal daripada Hani rupanya. Caiyok lar!!!  Aku memang tak sangka, serius!! Aku mati2 ingat dia sampai dulu. Kebetulan masa dia landed di finishing line, aku tengah beratur nak ambil air Milo. Then i grabbed one for her dan kami minum sama2. 

Tapi siapa sampai dulu tak penting. Yang penting, the spirit, the courage to complete the race. Bukan dekat taw, it was 10km! Dan tak semua orang larat nak habiskan larian...ada jugak yang aku nampak tersidai tepi jalan sebab penat. 

Last but not least, i'm glad that i enjoyed the 10km race thanks to Hani. :-D

from fat to fit and slim

Inilah aku yg dulu...

Ini gmbr2 sejak 2 tahun lepas. Last gambar montel aku ialah yg paling kiri. Masa tu weight aku 77kg. Mcm mn aku boleh ingat? Sebab masa tu aku nak depart menunaikan umrah. Aku ambil weight sebab nak tgk adakah berat aku turun bila balik mesia semula. Kat sana kan byk berjalan, so pada pendapat aku, mestilah badan aku susut sikit kot. 

Semasa di sana, ada sekali tu, aku berdoa minta diberikan kesihatan yg baik dan semoga aku gigih utk kurangkan berat badan. Aku yakin, doaku itu diterima sebabnya....




Inilah aku yang sekarang....

Tiada kata yg mampu diucapkan selain SYUKUR!!! Now weight aku sekitar 68kg...sikit lagi nak capai target which is 65kg. Tapi en. asben tak kasik aku kurus lagi sbb katanya sekarang ni 'just nice'. Aku pun happy dgn diri aku yg skrg. I'm not trying to impress anybody, i want to please myself first. Tapi dalam masa yg sama, ramai juga yg tegur, kata aku dah kurus. Aku rasa itu satu teguran yg positif. Ramai yg tanya, "Kau makan Herbalife ek?", "You ambil SD2 ke?", "Kau diet apa sampai kurus macam ni?". 

Frankly, tak ada diet apa pun. Maksud aku, tak ada diet yg giler2. Perlahan2 aku cuba kurangkan unhealthy food, then aku gandakan xtvt cardio aku, i choose what i want to eat. Hari2 aku makan. First, aku pastikan aku tak skip brekfes sebb itu sgt penting utk hsewife macam aku ni. Then tghari aku makan nasi, aku kurangkan intake nasi, maknanya aku tak makan bertambah. In between aku tak makan apa2, aku bykkan minum air. Then dinner aku tak makan dah sbb perut dah penuh dgn air. kalau nak makan pun, smtimes biskut cicah dgn milo. So itu sajalah rutin diet aku. Itulah diet jujur aku...

Selalunya wiken aku akan outing dgn family. So menu of the day pun 'out'. Our fav fast foods are pizza, auntie anne,  kfc, kenny rogers, dave deli, you name it except McD. so bygkan calorinya... Aku join makan sama tapi macam yg aku cakap tadi, aku makan small portion. So itulah diet aku, kalau korang nak tahu.

Aku tak percaya langsung kepada diet yg tak makan nasi lar, tak makan mee lar konon. Tapi benda lain dia belasah kaw2, pegidah! Itu tak makan, ini tak makan tapi badan macam tong deram jugak! *Opps! Sape makan cili, pandai2 lar cover pedas tu ek.*


Now aku dah tak risau nak carik size baju... apa2 baju pun. Mostly size M aku dah boleh pakai. Begitu juga dgn seluar...no more size exceed 30 okayyyy! Tadi lupa aku nak citer pasal diet yg aku ikut... it's called blood type diet. Yg ini memang betul. Korang gugel ikut jenis darah korang. Yang pasti, aku tak boleh ambil produk tenusu & daging tapi kena bykkan protein daripada ikan. 

These are my best friends. They are Nike and Polar. They are my loyal companion. They too have their ups and downs. When i need to push myself an extra mile, they will always be there, without fail, to give their support.

Ini antara xtvt cardio yg aku join. Frankly cakap, bila kita berkawan dgn org2 yg positif minded, kita juga akan sentiasa positif dan excited about life. Orang2 positif nie, dorang tak lokek ilmu. They share what they know, they help each other, motivate each other. So, when we mingle with them, we can feel the positive energy that they carry with them. 



My other xtvts... cycle, swimming, main badminton and few others. 


I have friends who have the same passion like mine. We always motivate each other by sharing other cardio xtvts. Like the above picture, me and Hani. We managed to complete a 10km roadrace. The best part is,  i was able to finish the 10km run within 1hr 15minutes. Yes, calm down, i know, me too can't believe it. Ahaks! 


Last but not least, this man here, my en. asben, who is totally opposite from me in terms of health conscious, is my biggest supporter, my honest motivator of all. Without him, i dont think i can do it either. Without him, i dont think i have the effort to slim down. Without him, i dont think i will have the time to do my cardio workout, tu yang paling penting because he has to take care of the kids when i hv class. Eventhough he is not a sports-type guy aka kaki bangku, *pardon my manglish yer*, but he never stops me from working out regularly, he never prevents me from taking part in any cardio xtvts, he never say no when i said i need a new pair of sports gear. Hehehehe.... 

So now korang dah taw macam mana aku boleh jadi 'from fat to fit and slim'. Pada aku, kurus tu ialah satu bonus kalau kita rajin bersenam, usaha tu tangga kejayaan, kan? Hahaha! But along the way, banyak juga cabarannya, kita kena tabah dan kuat hati especially bila kita dihidangkan dgn makanan yang boleh buat selera tergugat. But frankly, sekali sekala tak salah if you want to break the rules, tapi agak-agaklah ya. Aku pun ada masanya break the rules jugak and i take that as a big treat for my own effort.

the new me!

dah lama sy tak jenguk ke sini... sy biarkan saja. Bukan tak ada idea tapi sibuk dan ditambah dengan kemalasan yang berganda. Kali ini saya akan tampilkan sy yang baru.
